About us

TutMeet is an online tutoring marketplace. Students and parents can browse tutor profiles or describe what they need in a tutoring job, and tutors can apply to help. The marketplace is the meeting point — lessons themselves are arranged between the student and the tutor.

At a glance

What it is
An online marketplace where students and parents find 1-to-1 tutors, and tutors find students.
Who it is for
Students and parents looking for tutoring, and independent tutors looking for students.
Subjects
Quranic studies (Noorani Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz, Translation, Tafseer) plus school, university, language and skills subjects — the full list is on the subjects page.
Lessons
Online, and in person where a tutor offers it. Lessons are arranged and paid directly between student and tutor.
Cost for students
Free. Joining, posting a job, contacting tutors and messaging cost students nothing.
Cost for tutors
Joining and profile approval are free, and the first job application is free. Later applications spend Credits; the amount depends on the student's country and the job's budget and is shown before applying.
Tutor profiles
Reviewed by an administrator before they become public. Reviews come only from completed jobs on the platform.

Why we built it

Finding a tutor usually means asking around, searching social media, or paying a platform before you are even allowed to say hello. We wanted a simpler model: profiles you can inspect before you commit, a way to describe your exact requirement once and let suitable tutors come to you, and no charge for making first contact.

The marketplace covers school and university subjects, languages, skills, and Quranic studies — taught online, and in person where a tutor offers it.

Our principles

  • Free for students. Joining, posting a job, contacting tutors and messaging are free for students; teachers join free too, and their first application is free (later applications use Credits). See our pricing page for the full statement.
  • Reviewed profiles. A tutor profile only becomes public after review. Read how verification works.
  • Real reviews only. Reviews come from students who actually worked with a tutor through a completed job on the platform. We do not publish invented testimonials or ratings.
  • No invented numbers. We do not display tutor counts, student counts or success statistics that do not come from our own database.
  • Honest limits. Where a feature works in a simple way — for example, messages updating while a page is open rather than through a separate app — we say so plainly.

Who runs it
